How can I fix my computer?

I have Windows 7 on my desktop and none of my programs work. I have no restore point system in place and let me know if it can restart the computer both Windows 7 was installed and I have a Windows disk 7 as a of my friends to install Windows 7 at home and I took it. I can not install broadband in my cricket team. My programs stop working properly and must end and that happens with IE and Windows desktop gadgets. I need help, how can I reinstall the new operating system or reinstall the operating system

Just recently some of my applications stopped working. When I say stopped working, I mean there is no internet connectivity. This includes Internet explorer, all my gadgets, MSN messenger, and Rainmeter.

Some of my applications do work, firefox, aim, thunderbird.

Things you should know, I am running on Windows 7, I just recently had a malware virus that I got rid of, when I run a diagnose connection problems, I get the message "The configured proxy server is not responding (Detected).

Please help!
