Cliché as they come ... Los Angeles to Las Vegas through the Mojave Desert. Route 15, in a big old American convertible. Driving through Death Valley bare, so the car is better not to have leather seats! I'm not sure that taking ... Perhaps as indicated above, is best done alone, or maybe we could give him, forced to watch some classic lightning fork in the desert, you would like that! Staples? Ray Ban and a Stetson.

Anyone drive a Chevy HHR or sleep in a car on trips?
I often travel long distances on the weekends and during the summer and enjoying the open road and really the traveling more than any destination. I have truck I drive for work (Chevy Silverado) but am looking for a roomy long distance vehicle with great mileage. I love the chevy hhr... particularly the panel version for privacy and room.
Anyone own one/ drive, if so what do you think of it.
Also whats some essential things I would need to make it inot a home away from home.
I need something with good gas mileage, and dont' really want a van
Why not get a van? Much more roomier.
