What are the benefits of owning a Blu-ray?

Those with a Blu-ray to know the benefits they derive from this form high definition. But there are millions of people still cling to their old DVD player, willing to change. But ultimately, change come. Most industry experts believe that Blu-ray totally eclipsed in the coming years. The reason I think it's because the Blu-ray can do anything that the DVD player can do. But with the Blu-ray added benefits you get more points.

A big mistake that prevents people to discover the benefits of Blu-ray, is cost. In the latest Blu-ray and Blu-ray have been much more expensive than DVD players and DVD movies. This is not the case. Of course, on average, the price of a Blu-ray is still larger than a DVD player. But the average price of a reader Blu-ray has been significantly reduced. To purchase a mid-level Blu-ray price would be about $ 200 to $ 250. Entry level players cost $ 100 $ 150. If you really want a Bargan and do your research, you can even find a good Blu-ray player for under $ 100.

As for Blu-ray prices are falling constantly. Of course, you can rent Blu-ray. And maybe buy at a later date when prices are lower. If you have large collections of DVDs and do not want to leave, you should not. All Blu-ray players are capable of playing DVDs. In fact, not only play DVDs, which are able scaling of standard DVDs to near high definition. This allows you to watch your DVD of age in a whole new way.

While owning a TV High definition is not necessary to use a Blu-ray. But if you own a TV HD capable of 1080p, the only way to get this maxim is in high definition with Blu-ray. DVD technology can not produce enough pixels to display high-resolution movies actually be worse. Even down Blu-ray 1080p occurs so you can make the most of your TV HD. Then there is the sound. Because Blu-ray disc can store a large amount of data, is capable of producing high-resolution audio. Such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.

Another advantage of having a Blu-ray is its ability to connect to the Internet. Not all Blu-ray players have this capability, but most Blu-ray that came from 2009 were profile 2.0 Blu-ray. This means they either support Ethernet or Wi-Fi or both. Having a Blu-ray player connected to Internet opens a wide range of features and benefits. Features such as BD-Live, Streaming Media Services online or DLNA support.

- BD-Live technology allows you to download and stream bonus content such as additional scenes or deleted, featurettes, trailers, date movie, film-based games, Live commentary and more.

- Streaming Media Services that can play movies, television, music, photos and news directly to your TV. Video services like Netflix, Amazon on Demand, Vudu, Pandora, etc.

- Support DLNA allows you to synchronize your home network. Blu-ray has a capacity DLNA allows you to stream audio files from your computer or video on your TV HD.

These are the main benefits of owning a Blu-ray. With more benefits being added all the time. Characteristics such as technology 3D is becoming more popular among the viewers the main movie. So if you own an HDTV or a standard TV, it is unwise to go and buy a DVD player. You invest your money on outdated technology and lose all the advantages that many Blu-ray offers.

Hello can anyone tell me about the Blu-ray compatible with the profile?

Hi, I was thinking of buying a Blu-ray, but I heard rumors that "can not" play the compliance Blu-ray? What is it and who fit the profile I should avoid and which one is best?

There are three specifications for the Blu-ray Profile 1.0 called 1.1 and 2.0. The whole game film. Profile 2.0 requires only Internet connectivity. Only Profile 1.1 players must support picture in picture, secondary audio and storage on board. These additional features such as (for example, "In theater experience," the Web extras, online chat) Most of the Blu-ray (other than the PS3) do not and will ever, 2.0. Many older models are compatible with 1.0 and can not be over 1.1. Some can be improved through firmware / others do not. You do not need a player compatible with over 1.0, but older players are more likely to have problems with new movies (UN - Samsung player can not even play a few films), and will not be able to reproduce all or part of the advanced features that you pay into a special player Blu-ray. If you do not care and just want to play the movie .. You can save money by buying an "incomplete" player. Personally, if I or purchase a PS3 or wait for a player to Profile 2.0. But I'm sure Blu-ray is worth it ... and I will take the DVD until (and I do not think it will happen) prices are the same.

getting blu ray players audio on PC speakers?

I have a Sony blu ray player. It's hdmi plug is connected to my monitor and have the rca audio output jacks to 1/8 stereo jack adapter into the black female plug in on my SB soundcard. Having a problem activating the sound to get audio over my computer speakers.

Hi Tony....You may require a new sound card that will receive the same format as your blu ray player or try a different audio connection......cheers.
