As a college student, do i really need an ipad2?
I am a college student finishing my associates degree, with 2 more semesters to go. I have researched about e-textbooks & alternatives to paper-books. I am deciding whether or not I should get the ipad 2; I have a MacBook Pro, a Windows 7 lenovo, & plan to get the iphone 5. Any suggestions? I've played around with the ipad in stores & it is a VERY appealing gadget (i tend to be a tech-geek person). I have also read about very useful apps for students, which are also available on the iphone. I'm really using the excuse of the textbooks; it would be a bit cheaper than renting them from chegg or buying them. Your comments/suggestions would be REALLY APPRECIATED, thank you!
Well I asked my bf to get it for me for my birthday, which is in August, & I am not asking for a brand new one, a refurbished one is fine. I know I am looking for excuses to buy it but the scales are starting to shift!
Just keep renting for a couple more years till there are many other cheaper types of eReaders and services for those types of textbooks.
Currently, the technology isn't good enough to replace the old textbook, highlighter, and pen combinations. Once software (or an app) is developed where you can manipulate the eTextbooks with margin notes, dog ears, highlights, etc... only then will the purchase of an iPad2 or others be worth it (for eTextbooks)

windows 7 gadgets arent getting internet connection?
Ive used the windows 7 gadgets for a long time, and now there starting to just stop, first was the weather, it stopped getting a connection when i had internet, now its Gmail checker, ive tried uninstalling them and reinstalling them, ive tried resetting them, i really dont want to reinstall windows 7 because i dont have the money for that.
is anyone else having this problem?
If you have a legitimate license to Windows and a restore partition or install media, reinstalling it is free.

What is the Recovery (D:) drive and I can get Windows 7 Home Edition?

I looked around for fun to see how much RAM you have, etc., and there seems to be much in the recovery (D:) Hard ... 2.4GB 16.6GB other ... What the hell is there much more space? Not much on my netbook yet, as I only had a week ... Second, the netbook comes with Windows 7 Starter Edition. What Starter Edition and how it compares with Windows 7 Home Edition? My netbook enough to keep Windows 7 Home Edition? The Starter Edition seems to have lost much of what I like ...
Your little gadget does not have enough power to run a more demanding operating system to stay simple limitation starter.The Windows 7 you is that you can not run many programs at once (the toy can not even if you can) and you can not customize the menus, as your history of recovery partition for the factory image in case you need to reinstall the operating system ...... it just leave that partition alone.

How can I get my gadgets back on my Windows 7 computer?
I am unable to put my gadgets back on my desktop, because the gadget gallery will not open. I have also tried going into the file folder for them, and dragging it straight out of there, but it tells me that I need administrator permissions to move or edit the file (which I do have), and when I press continue, I am told that it could not do it. Anyone know how I can get gadgets on my desktop agian?
I know this sounds simple but have you tried to click the "show desktop" icon at the far right on the task bar at the bottom of the screen? Had the same problem with W7 when I first tried the gadgets, clicking it hides whatever gadgets you have running, good luck..

can someone explain what a wireless access point to the Internet?
I have four rooms in a concrete and frames} {House house in Mexico, Wireless Modem on one of the rooms of the great works on this site, but the other should be outside or near a window to receive even a single low bar {} of the signal. I think I lied in the computer store here, as seller told me he could reach 15 meters receiption. Is there a signal booster or a kind of relay device that I can add to my system. What are the access points?
First, you are not using a wireless "modem", you use a "router". And the router is a wireless access point (WAP or see my sources). The problem is that you are out of range of the signal and the signal blocking obstacles (like walls). Two possible solutions would be the only position the wireless router in your home a place where a strong signal can be found by all teams (such as a lounge or in the main hall) or you can just buy a couple more WAPS and their position around the house in places that allow the signal to reach other computers. The wireless signal is bouncing around the WAP WAP until it reaches the team tries to access the Internet.

I have a computer with Windows XP and use it to run Cubase 5. If updating Windows 7 in the future, I will be able to use Cubase 5 or I'll have to wait for a patch? The same question applies games. Thank you;)
Technology are now called "Windows XP Mode" will be available for those Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate by downloading from Microsoft. In essence, providing Virtual PC environment by emulating XP with Service Pack 3. Upgrading Windows 7 home premium to 7 pro.?
Purchased a new laptop that came with 7 home premium 64-bit. However have some programs that worked fine on XP that will not work in 7 hp 64. Microsoft offers a download that will allow older programs to run called XP Mode, but you need 7 pro or ultimate to get XP Mode download. My question is has anyone upgraded 7 home premium to 7 pro and have they encountered any problems? Experience in the past with upgrades is that they can often create problems. Would it be better to get a full copy of 7 pro and do a clean install?
