How do word art in Photoshop CS3?

I want to do something like that. I can get every letter spacing, font and stuff but when it comes to cut off the letters in the background, is locked. Help! An example of what I do: http://www.polyvore.com/photo_text_graphics_peace_love/thing?id=6935355

Easier approach would be the creation of three layers. 1: bottom layer is a sunset photo or whatever you want as background 2: intermediate layer would be a layer of white paper 3: The top layer has its text Once you have your text on the right: Ctrl + click the text layer will form a selection letters. Once you have a choice, go to the white layer and press Delete. This will reduce your words of the white layer. Then hide or delete the layer text and voila! Not really an easy thing to explain, easier to prove:) Have a look at the picture attached, I created that 2 minutes and shows layers or used. I hope this was helpful:)

How would I make my script interesting? Please help ASAP?

For 3D art, we're making presentations on a style of art or artist (mine's Islamic). Instead of putting text in our power point, we have to record our own voices and put them in. The problem is, my teacher wants our scripts to be original and interesting. The examples she gave are rapping the script, pretending to be interviewing the artist, pretending to be arguing over art, etc. I have no clue what to do for my script, and it's due tomorrow! Please help!

do it as a news report?
present it as a set of questions and answers in a gameshow type format?

Looking for a new SLR D?

I try to enter using a digital SLR, but I need some suggestions for what to buy a first D SLR. I had my eye on the Canon EOS Rebel XSi. I'm not crazy about Nikon or Sony, but I'm open minded. Any suggestions or advice?

I started with the Nikon D40 that I recommend, but if you like the Canon EOS Rebel XSi obtain

Best digital SLR Camera for beginners?

I am looking to buy a digital SLR but I have no idea how to pick one.
I would like it to be somewhat smaller but still have the adjustable lens, and to be around $600. Any suggestions for easy-to-use cameras or tips on how to select one?

Thank you:)

Anyone who wants to own one of these cameras for the first time really should do some serious reading first to know at least a bit of what you are getting into. These are wonderful devices, I know I own one and will recommend it to you, but to be effective with this type of camera there's a lot to learn.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/571144-REG/Canon_2762B003_EOS_Rebel_XS_SLR.html

This, I find, is an excellent camera that gives me the results I want. I'm not much on specs because I happen to believe they're mostly manufacturer fodder anyway. I look for results and this camera gives me what I want.

As I say, there's a learning curve. This not a point and shoot. You can use it that way but if you do you're waisting your money because there's so much more available here.

Good Luck

Canon Digital Camera (SLR): Rebel XTi - November 19, 2009 by admin

Can anyone give advice to help select a new digital camera to buy?

I have a Kodak DX7630 EasyShare and were very pleased with the results. I'm looking to get a better digital camera that I can "play" with more. I take pictures of my family. I'm thinking of buying a SLR camera, the Canon Rebel XTi possibly or simply going to move more Kodak EasyShare Z812. Any suggestions or comments?

As fhotoace words, the sensor size is very important in image quality. Believe it or not, your current camera (DX7630) a sensor cameras are point and shoot, and the Z812 has a small sensor. It might actually be a step backwards in quality image "enhancement" of this super-zoom camera. As long as you have on the table, I would say that the update you are sensitive to the Rebel XTi Canon. Yes, there is much to learn, but you can begin to "AUTO" and go to the "P" and go from there.

Digital Camera SLR Advice Needed?

I am shopping for a digital SLR. I am planning on getting the Canon Rebel Xti with 10.1 mp. I would also like a good lens- one that takes excellent portraits. Where the picture is so sharp you can see each eyelash kind of thing. I'd also like a telephoto lens that can get extremely sharp focus on something like a flower that you are standing right next to, or a baby's tiny little toes. Hoping for one lens that can do both the portraits and the toes. I don't have much to spend- about $1500 total including the camera that comes with the basic lens for about $800. Can someone recommend the lens that would cost about $600 that would be extremely sharp even in indoors lighting situations. I think I would like the Lseries from Canon.

For your budget, I'd suggest that you look at the the Canon 17-85 lens. One of our devoted Canon users recommended the EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM (28-135 equiv.) (April 2007-$515) as a good "walk around" lens at a good price.

http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-EF-S-17-85mm-f-4-5.6-IS-USM-Lens-Review.aspx

Actually, I see this lens as part of a kit at B&H Photo (available through Yahoo! Shopping) for $1,180 right now, so you'd save a couple of bucks. If you just buy the body ($685), you have about $800 left for a lens and memory card, so maybe you can find an "L" lens for that kind of money. I'm not a Canon guy, but hopefully someone else will pick up on this question and give you some more guidance.

If you go to the review site mentioned above, you can find some sample images, including several portraits. Click on them to enlarge the image. It's too bad you can't view the file full-size, but you can get the idea about lens resolution. I see that the pictures were taken with a Canon 20D, which is an 8MP camera compared to the XTi's 10 MP, so I would expect the resolution to be at least as good.

You can spend a day prowling around these Canon lens review sites to see if you find something else within your budget.
