Sidebar Gadgets Windows 7 stops responding?

I have Home Premium 64-bit Windows 7 and after a few hours my Windows Sidebar and appears to stop answer dialog to end up saying or restart the gadgets, I restart and all is well for about 12 hours or less. What? It is not like the limits the system I'm running a Intel i7 720 clocked at 1.6 GHz (2.8 GHz SpeedBoost measure) 6 GB of DDR3 RAM, 500GB HDD 7200rpm ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 (1GB of GDDR5 memory) never had this problem before, but now all the sudden he did that. My office is doing the same thing. (Core 2 Quad 2.6 GHz, 8 GB of DDR3, 2 x 750GB HDD, ATI Radeon 4870 1GB GDDR5 680W PSU) Could it be a free update from Microsoft and has not been a solution for gadgets? I also tried to run the gadgets in the sidebar in 32-bit mode, and dosn't seem to matter, is blocked. (I'm back to 64 bits from the gadget only supports 64-bit SpeedBoost and I know that my speedboosting i7. Thank you for all your help.

I read a Article somewhere (forgot where) that if UAC is disabled, then this gadget off and frozen. UAC is disabled? If so, try turning to see if it eliminates the problem. (UAC User Account Control is, by the way)

ive downloaded a gadget for my vista sidebar. but i dont know how to install it.. theres no notice or icon to install! can anyone help me!?

Most of the gadgets for vista side bar are exe files.Once you run the file, it will get installed as a normal exe file and will be available along with other gadgets in the sidebar Gadget gallery. Just Double click you can see that gadget in the side bar. If too many gadgets are already there, you can use the left and right arrow keys on the top of the side bar. Also you can drag and fix the positions too. Let me know this will help you

How to make Windows Vista Sidebar think?

Mine use to appear, but it is not dosent even when I put mouse over it. Should I go to control panel or anything. How can I fix it please.

Right-click on the button bar and to open the task manager. Go to File and click New Task. Type sidebar.exe and press Enter.

My Dell Studio 17 Laptop with windows vista will not shut down or log off correctly.?

ever since i had to replace a damaged internal hard drive for my laptop, i had to reinstall everything, including the operating system, and if i press the log off or shut down button, only the Dell Dock and the Windows Sidebar shuts off, but my user account/computer does nothing else. How can i solve this problem? Due to this, i have to use the power button to forcefully shut the computer down resulting in error.

Sounds like a corrupted installation of the OS. I would recommend a "clean installation" of the OS which means going into DOS then doing "fdisk" then "format" of course you will need to follow the prompts.

Have you tried doing a full scan for malware while in Safe Mode with Networking?

IF you continue to manually shut down the computer by forcing it off, it will cause damage it does not happen right away. However the more times you force to shut down the more damage you may be causing to sectors or batch files or both. Which will eventually affect other areas of the computer such as programs not responding even data loss.

If you need further info on the fdisk and format steps and understanding of their effects. Then you better read and perhaps print this up if you feel that uncertain. Its not that difficult to do the steps and you can write them down from this site just scroll down you will see them.

However if you feel very uncertain then you should hire some one to do the work. I would not recommend GeekSquad at all they do incomplete work or or poor work.
