A solution which will enrich the electron in the potato & supplies current from potato to small digital clock?

*potato supplies few current by which small digital clocks can be made to run.
*by introducing the potato in a solution while this process,is there any way to increase the electron supplyin the potato?
*what kind of solution is better?
*any other possibility to run Gagets by using of this kind and to mak e it run for a longer time other than replacing the potato

I tend to find, plugging my potato into the mains helps

Use an orange, the acidity makes it work better, then you have a Clockwork Orange!

However, there is no solution just use a zinc and copper electrode for each potato.
