Will a Bond Film ever be all things to all men?

bond movies will never satisfy everyone because they have such a long history. it has fans of every age group and they all have their own ideas about how a bond movie should be, or how bond himself should be. one thing to note, is that before casino royale, every bond movie except dr no was essentially a remake of the last one with a slightly different plot and maybe a new actor, but they essentially followed the same formula. casino royale and now quantum of solace broke the formula and so both have been ridiculously criticised for being TOO gritty and not enough fun. thats based on both generational aspects and expectations. but if they went the other way it would just end up being like die another day, too silly and frankly rubbish. they will never please everyone but personally i just want a continuation of casino royale, which explored the character well, and in a realistic(ish) context. it was the first bond film in ages that was about bond and not about the stunts or the action or the villains. and for me, thats the way it should be
